Adults as Students

Adult Learning Support

Turn Around uses proven methods to help adults overcome their literacy and numeracy problems with ease. We offer free, one-to-one, personalised support in a safe and well resourced learning environment. After an initial assessment by one of our trained tutors, regular sessions will be arranged and the student’s progress will be continually monitored.

"I now have more conversation in English. I understand more and I am not so shy. I like the tea, dancing and the occasional biscuit, the teaching is very good."

- Julia (Adult student)

Reading, Writing & Basic Maths

At Turn Around we take time to make sure our students never feel out of their depth and ensure that each student fully understands what is being taught before going on to the next step. We believe developing a student’s confidence in his or her own abilities is an essential part of what we do. We also give support to adults who want to continue their education but require preparation before applying for either a vocational training course or a formal qualification.

English Language Support

Turn Around has built up an excellent reputation in the local area for helping students whose first language is not English. We find focusing on improving English reading and writing skills helps students make faster progress with their speaking and listening.

Prospective students are welcome to drop in at The Exchange in St Mary Cray or contact us by phone on 01689 835 079 to arrange an appointment. We are open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-5pm (closed for lunch between 1pm and 2pm).
