In June 2018, pre-pandemic, Turn Around held their first major fundraising event ‘The Big Swing Dance’ at Emmanuel Church Hall, West Wickham. The wonderful South London Jazz Orchestra, vocalist Georgie Fellows and LindyHop caller Simon Selmon were superb. The dance floor was full and a good time was had by all.
The event raised nearly £1500 and would not have been possible without friends and volunteer support on the night. A special thank you to Veronica and Elaine for organising and promoting the event, to Eunice for the delicious catering and Deanne, Michelle & David for all those cups and saucers!
Turn Around’s fundraising committee are planning another event as soon as it is safe to do so. We welcome suggestions and offers of support from friends, volunteers and students of Turn Around.
